Apostille Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates in France for use in the United Kingdom and abroad
We can obtain apostille stamps to certify extracts and copies of French birth, marriage and death certificates (Acte d'état civil: Acte de naissance, de reconnaissance, de mariage ou de décès) from the Court of Appeal.
Authorities of countries that have signed the Hague Apostille Convention will recognise the Apostille directly as confirmation of authenticity. The Apostille process normally takes 1-2 weeks from receipt of the original document.
When required for submission to countries that do not recognise Apostilles (e.g. United Arab Emirates - Qatar - Thailand - Taiwan - Vietnam), we legalize original certificates at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then at the embassy of the recipient country in Paris.
Apostilled and legalized certificates are delivered to clients worldwide by secure courier.

Certified translations of French death, marriage and birth certificates
When presenting French marriage, death and birth certificates and other vital records in countries outside the EU which do not have French as an official language, then a certified translation may be required. The certified translation must meet the requirements of the destination country, so that, to be valid, a translation done locally in France must be certified with an additional apostille. To obtain a French apostille on a translation of an official document, the translator certifying the translation must be registered with the Court of Appeal (traducteur agréé).
