Norwegian birth, death and marriage certificates, as well as printouts from the National Population Register, can be authenticated with an Apostille Stamp obtained from the County Governor.

How can I obtain a copy of a Norwegian birth, marriage or death certificate?
Norwegian birth certificates can be ordered online from Norwegian Tax Administration with an Electronic ID and will be sent to your registered address in the National Population Register.
Norwegian marriage certificates (marriages after 1 October 2004) can be ordered online from the Norwegian Tax Administration with a Electronic ID and will be sent to your registered address in the National Population Register. If the marriage took place before 1 October 2004, you must directly contact the one who officiated the wedding to get a copy of the marriage certificate.
A confirmation of death can be obtained from the District Court (in Norwegian)
A death certificate, with more details than a confirmation, can be obtained from the doctor who wrote the certificate or Norwegian Institute of Public Health
Death certificates from before 1996 are available from the National Archives of Norway (in Norwegian)
A Printout from the National Population Register can be ordered online with an Electronic ID from the Norwegian Tax Administration. Printouts from the National Population Register (available in English or Norwegian) are sent digitally or on paper with a stamp and signature (select a paper copy if an Apostille stamp is required). The printouts on paper will be sent to your registered address.
